We’re at the end of 2023, and what a year it has been. So many great things have happened, and we’ve got so much planned for 2024… As unit leader, I have the absolute pleasure in saying thank you, so here goes… (and let’s hope I don’t miss anyone)
Firstly, thank you to the girls in the unit. You are all truly amazing; you give us such joy every week, through your smiles, your enthusiasm and your excitement to get involved. Don’t stop!! Continue being you.
To the parents, your support is incredible, you allow us as leaders to have so much fun and do so much. We all just want to give the girls as many opportunities as possible to learn, grow and to shine. Without you we can’t do this. So thank you, and we can’t wait to continue working with you in 2024.
My leadership team, you go with my crazy ideas, you make them happen. You all have such incredible strengths that you really make me so proud and I’m lucky to work with you.
Louise, our district commissioner, you always say yes and help us achieve great things. You’ve run some fantastic events this year, from our trip to Blacklands to Breakfast with Santa, to just this week our takeover for WISH. I can’t wait to see what we can do in 2024.
To The Cooperative, your community funding is going to make such a difference to our unit. We’re going to be able to provide a safe sensory space for girls in the unit as well as being able to subsidise events and activities to ensure no girl is left out.
Lastly, but by no means least, our supporters. From another leader somewhere in the country to an interested bystander. You’ve all enabled so much this year. If you’ve purchased any of our fun badges, or made a donation to the unit. Thank you
So from the bottom of my heart, I am so thankful to everyone mentioned, and those not mentioned, the families of our leaders who sometimes don’t get the best from their loved ones because they’ve given more of their time and energy to support our rainbow unit.
Let’s see what 2024 has in store. I can already tell it’s going to be a good one!!
It is a pleasure being your District Commissioner and I look forward to another fun filled year together in 2024. I will visit everyone again soon.
